Medicare & You Handbook – The A to D Guide to Medicare (Cont)

Section 2 will introduce you to Medicare Part A and B. It is a step by step guide on how to sign up for each of these sections. The section shows who is eligible; who is enrolled automatically and who need to contact Social Security Administration, SSA, to get enrolled. In this section, you are also introduced to all the costs in each of these two parts.

Section 3 shows you how to find out if your test, item or service is covered. Section 4 explains how the original Medicare works while section 5 expounds on Medicare Advantage Plans and how you can enroll in them. Section 6 lets you in on Medicare Supplement Insurance, Medigap.

Section 7 covers Medicare part D, which deals with prescription drug plans. Section 8 helps those who are trying to source for financial help to pay for health and prescription drugs plans while section 9 introduces you to your rights and how to stay away from fraud. Each year, there may be slight alterations in the contents of the above sections.

The Medicare & You Handbook is the only handbook you will need to learn all there is about Medicare. To many beneficiaries, Medicare is a complex topic. Granted, this book should be kept as a reference guide.
